Love Football Hate Racism teamed up with Lady Imps for a pre-match fan engagement event on a bright and blustery day at the LNER Stadium on Saturday 15th April. The diversity quiz proved great fun containing Lincoln City and Port Vale specific questions and other multi-choice questions highlighting the some of the history of women’s game. The fan village we were in was a buzz of activity with plenty of good food and drink options, and activities for young, or young at heart, people. Plenty of freebie stickers and badges were given out and a number of interesting conversations were had.
A thrilling match saw 5 goals, 10 yellow cards, 3 red cards and Lincoln claiming the win by the odd goal. The defeat saw the end of Darrell Clarke’s Port Vale career as the midlands club dispensed with his services after a win-less seven game run that saw them slide towards the relegation zone.
