Exciting News: Love Football Hate Racism is applying to become a registered charity. The timing is right to expand the work we are doing. We want to be a positive voice in football encouraging supporters to recognise there is more that unites us than divides us, that understanding our differences can help bring changes in the sport and the communities our clubs are linked to.
We are talking to other organisations and planning to get music events up and running as soon as it is safe and practicable to do so. There are a couple of dates pencilled in for the autumn already, more news on those later.
We are delighted to be working collaboratively with the Paul Canoville Foundation and have an exciting project being launched on Wednesday 12 May, and another in the pipeline too. Look out for future updates. ‘Canners’, as he’s affectionately known, is recovering from a serious illness but is raring to get back working, sharing his experiences and helping to #EducateOutRacism and help young people reach their full potential. We are humbled to be working alongside the foundation on projects where we share common objectives. We believe working together with other groups within football, raising awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion, will better highlight the challenges racism brings and help build a better and more cohesive world.
